Will I have a room when I arrive in Montréal?
You must reserve your room as soon as you are accepted by the university. You do so by clicking on the Studios Hotel link appearing in the information sheets sent by email to all Explore students. That way you are certain to have a room when you arrive.
Should I be concerned about security?
The residence has its own security department in addition to campus security, which you can reach 24 hours a day by calling 514 343-7771. There is no reason for female students to be afraid to walk around outside.
Which documents are essential that I bring with me?
You must bring an identity card with a photo, your health insurance card and any other document regarding any special needs you may have.
Will I have access to an Internet connection?
A wireless connection is accessible free of charge just about everywhere, except in the rooms.
Where can I print my documents?
There is a printing service in all the language laboratories and computer rooms.
Do I earn university credits?
You earn credits for the Explore program course. You are entitled to six credits, but it is your responsibility to check with your educational institution whether they are recognized.
How can I obtain my transcript?
You will receive your transcript in the mail at the beginning of October. You can also, at a cost of $11, ask the registrar’s department to send a copy to your educational institution.
How can I find out more about the Université de Montréal and the city of Montréal?
When you arrive, we will be given you a kit a containing a wide range of information on the campus, the district, transportation and so on.

Are there services near the Université de Montréal?
At a 15-minute walk from your residence (rue Côte-des-Neiges), you will find all the necessary services: grocery stores, restaurants, bookstores, places of worship.
