The École de français offers tutoring (individual support) for Université de Montréal students (undergraduate and graduate) who are experiencing difficulties with writing French, who wish to improve their writing skills, or who wish to develop or deepen their knowledge of written French. This tutoring service is not a text revision service. It’s part of a personal improvement process in mastering written French.
The Université de Montréal offers a first block of six hours of individual assistance per school year. You can choose:
- Four 90-minute sessions, or
- Six 60-minute sessions
Tutoring is offered remotely via Skype or Teams software. Sessions must take place within an eight-week period. Our tutors are available during the day, evenings and on Saturdays.
Important
The last demand on the form is to provide a French text of around 300 words. It can be an entire piece or excerpt you have written for a course you have taken, or a text you are writing for your tutoring registration (see the list of topics on the registration form). Upon receipt of your registration, a team member will contact you to finalize your registration.
Non-refundable registration fee: $50. Payment by credit card only.
Students may obtain additional tutoring hours. A maximum of 5 additional hours per school year is allowed.
A fee of $25 per hour is required. Fees are payable in advance in one lump sum. Payment by credit card only.
